The trend of the last few years: small ice cream parlours that produce only a few varieties freshly from natural ingredients without colouring, additives or flavourings. The costs incurred by time-consuming production and high-quality raw materials are saved elsewhere: many young businesses do without the restaurant with seats and thus save on staff and rental costs. Ice cream to go is the trend. If you think about this idea further, you quickly arrive at the mobile ice cream truck and new business areas open up, such as ice cream catering for weddings and company parties, the "outpost" at the bathing lake or at the food truck festival. Catering at trade fair grounds or around the football stadium is also possible. And with an ice cream truck, there is no rent for the shop during the low-turnover winter months, which often remains closed until spring.
Bythe way, take-away ice cream is only subject to 7% VAT, while sit-down ice cream is subject to 19%. So for the same sales price, the take-away variant leaves significantly more money with the seller. Another point victory for the mobile ice cream parlour.
