20 years after the "Summer Fairy Tale":
These Coca-Cola trailers are still in use
Quality that pays off
When Germany hosted the World Cup in the summer of 2006, the whole country was in a state of excitement. Fan zones and public viewings drew millions of people onto the streets. Right in the thick of it: a fleet of 16 ROKA Roadrunner trailers that we manufactured for Coca-Cola®.
The eye-catching sales and promotional trailers, featuring the iconic Coca-Cola bottles on their roofs, were used nationwide at fan festivals and major events back then.
Why are we telling this story today, 20 years later?
Because these vehicles are still in use.
Although some of these trailers have changed owners or locations over the years, they still reliably serve their purpose today. So if you happen to come across a red beverage trailer with unique curves, chances are it’s one of these original Roadrunners from 2006.
Long-term cost-effectiveness
When purchasing a vehicle for resale, people often focus first on the purchase price. This is understandable—after all, it is an investment. However, anyone who wants to operate profitably in the long term should not focus solely on the purchase price, but rather on the vehicle’s useful life.
A vehicle that needs to be replaced or extensively refurbished after just a few years results in higher long-term costs than a high-quality vehicle that can be used reliably for decades.
Built for continuous use
Transportation routes, frequent location changes, heavy use, and high visitor traffic are part of daily operations for many of our customers. That is why we rely on robust designs, high-quality materials, and manufacturing standards built to last. This applies to both the vehicle body and the interior fittings and technical components.
This is clearly demonstrated by the example of the Coca-Cola vehicles from 2006: two decades after they were delivered, they are still in service.
Now, some might say, “What could possibly go wrong with a beverage cart?” but evidence of our durable construction can be found elsewhere as well: for example, in the food service containers at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, which have also been performing reliably for stadium caterer Aramark® without any breakdowns since the 2006 World Cup.
