Germany's first restaurant "on the Seaside of Deich"
"Watt'n Blick" is the name of the gastronomic concept of two young entrepreneurs from Norddeich. The sea-proof and semi-mobile bistro in a QUB® container is the first in Germany on the seaward side of the dyke.
A special challenge: a restaurant right on the dyke foreshore! The young operators have worked hard to achieve what was previously unthinkable. A good dozen permits had to be obtained so that their restaurant on the Wadden Sea - in the middle of a World Heritage Site and flood area - could become a reality.
This was only possible with a solution that could withstand the enormous wind loads, the salty air and the sandy ground in the coastal area. In other words, an extremely stable and durable sales unit that can also be dismantled in less than twelve hours in the event of a storm surge.
